New PS4 System Update Announced

Following the release of PS4 system software update 4.07 late last year, Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced the latest software update coming to its current-gen PlayStation consoles, PS4 System Software Update 4.50 (codenamed Sasuke).

PS4 System Software Update 4.50 includes:
  • Support for up to 8TB of External HDD with the option to directly download and install applications on it
  • The ability to set your favorite in-game screenshot as the background image for PS4’s home screen
  • Additional improvements to the Quick Menu in order to make it even more accessible
  • Simplified Notification List
  • The ability to post directly into the PlayStation Network Activity Feed
  • The ability to view 3D Blu-rays movies in stereoscopic 3D directly on the PS VR headset
PS4 System Software Update 4.50 is now rolling out for those registered in the company's Beta Program.
