New Pokémon GO Update Announced

Niantic is celebrating the holiday season by announcing the latest update coming to its location-based augmented reality video game, offering players some new Pokémons as well as a limited edition Pikachu.

The new Pokémon GO update will include:
  • The opportunity to hatch Togepi and Pichu from Eggsand several other Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto Region in Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video game
  • Find limited edition Pikachu wearing a festive hat to celebrate the season all over the world (Ends December 29, 2016, 10:00 A.M. PST)
The new update is now rolling out on Android and iOS devices as a free update through the Google Play and the Play Store.
