Google Begins Rolling Out Android 7.1.1

Google has officially announced the latest software update coming to its mobile operating system, as well as the latest member joining the Nougat family, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, delivering some new features as well as other enhancements.

Android 7.1.1 features:
  • Adds new emojis
  • brings the API level to 25 
  • standardizes bottom-paradigm navigation menus in apps
  • More robust support for image keyboards and GIFs
  • App shortcuts
  • The Support section has been added
  • The notification shade now include six toggles instead of five
  • The restart button has finally been added

  • Improvements to stability and performance
Android 7.1.1 Nougat is now rolling out on the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G (Android One).
