Facebook Messenger Updated With Group Video Chat


Following the release of Facebook Messenger Lite couple months ago, the online social media and social networking service has officially announced the latest update coming to its instant messaging service, Group Video Chat, offering users a "simple and seamless" way to stay connected face-to-face with friends and family.

To enable Group Video Chat in Facebook Messenger, all you have to do is:

  • Must have the latest version of Messenger
  • Jump into an existing group conversation or create a new one
  • Tap on the video icon on the upper right of the screen to enter the video chat
  • Once you'r in the video chat, everyone in the group will be notified
  • Each person can join when they are ready with just one tap, but you can also directly ring just a few people or the whole group
Reminder: Messenger Group Video Chat is limited to six people at a time. However, up to 50 friends can join in and choose to just listen in and join via voice, or be on camera.

Group Video Chat is now rolling out to Android and iOS devices, as well as the Desktop version of Facebook Messenger around the world.
