Apple Releases Single Sign-On For iOS & tvOS


Following the announcement of the Single Sign-On feature back in November, Apple has officially began rolling out its much waited and anticipated sign-in feature on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV devices offering users a much easier way to subscribe to their favorite services.

The first service providers to supprt Single Sign-On include:

  • CenturyLink Prism
  • DirecTV
  • Dish
  • GVTC
  • GTA
  • Hawaiian Telcom
  • Hotwire
  • MetroCast
  • Sling
Reminder: Contact your TV provider for help with forgotten usernames or passwords. If you you sign in from an iOS device that uses iCloud with the same Apple ID as your other iOS devices, all of those devices will also be signed in to your TV provider.


To enable Single Sign-On on tvOS all you have to do is make sure that you have tvOS 10 or later, then go to Settings > Accounts > TV Provider > Choose your TV provider and sign in with your TV-provider account information, while on iOS you need to make sure that you have iOS 10 or later, then go to Settings > TV Provider and choose your TV provider, and Sign in with your TV-provider account information.
