VLC Launches On Xbox

VideoLAN has officially announced that its popular portable, free and open-source, cross-platform media player and streaming media server will now be expanding to current-gen Xbox consoles, offering users the ability to play MKVs with subtitles and much more.

VLC for Xbox features:
  • Video player
  • Audio player
  • Audio management
  • MKV playback
  • FLAC playback
  • Subtitles downloader

Reminder: This build of VLC is still in Beta, so it does not include all the features available in the classic VLC

VLC is now available to download for free on Xbox One through the Microsoft Store.
