Android Apps Come To Chromebook Pixel (2015) Stable Channel

Following the announcement of Google Bringing Android Apps To Chrome OS Stable Channel just one week ago, the company has officially revealed that the Play Store has finally arrived to the Chromebook Pixel (2015) running the latest Chrome OS Stable Channel.

As a reminder, to enable the Play Store on the Stable Channel all you have to do is:
  • Make sure your are running the latest Stable channel 53.0.2785.129 (Platform version: 8530.90.0)
  • Click the bottom right corner of your screen and go to the Settings page
  • Look for the "Play store" section and check the box that says "Enable Google Play Store on your Chromebook"
  • Hit the "Get started" button, and after you agree to the terms, you'll see the Play store app open
  • Voila! 
The Stable channel 53.0.2785.129 (Platform version: 8530.90.0) is now rolling out on the Chromebook Pixel (2015), with more Chromebooks to get it later on.
