Samsung Gear VR 2nd-Gen Pre-orders Now Live

Following the reveal of the Gear VR 2nd-Gen alongside the Galaxy Note 7 earlier this month, Samsung has officially announced that customers interesting in the company's latest virtual reality headset will now be able to pre-order it.

The Gear VR (2016), which is powered by Oculus, features 101° Field of View, 9.33-inch x 4.09-inch x 6.71-inch (LWH), 1.15 pounds of weight, USB Type-C and Micro USB adapter, improved lenses and ergonomics, external USB port (USB Hub 2.0) that enables connectivity with third-party USB devices, and comes in Blue Black color option.

Reminder: the Gear VR 2nd-Gen is Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note7, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

The Samsung Gear VR 2nd-Gen is now available to pre-order through Amazon and Samsung's online store for $99.99, while the virtual reality headset is expected to begin shipping starting August 19.
