Microsoft Begins Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update Rollout


Following the release of Windows 10 Anniversary Update on computers earlier this month, Microsoft has officially announced that Windows 10 Mobile-powered devices will now begin receiving the long waited Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update.

Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update brings some new features as well as other enhancements like:

  • Camera shortcut and media controls has been added to the lock screen
  • Improved universal Skype app
  • Some changes to the settings menu 
  • Adds support for fingerprint readers to Windows 10 Mobile
  • Lot of new emojis 
  • Other under the hood improvements and bug fixes
Reminder: To manually check for the update, all you have to do is head over to Start, swipe over to the All apps list, then select Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates.

Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update is now rolling out around the world to all Windows 10 Mobile devices. Although some devices may not get it immediately due to "manufacturer, model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations and other factors.
