AMD Releases Radeon Software 16.8.1


Following the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 470 & 460, the company has released a new update to the Radeon Software Crimson Edition, the company's "revolutionary new graphics software", Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1 that brings support for the all-new RX 470 and 460 Graphics Cards.

Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1 (Driver Version 16.30.2511) features:

  • Support for Radeon RX 470 Graphics and Radeon RX 460 Graphics
  • New AMD Crossfire profile available for F1 2016
  • Max memory overclock available on Radeon RX 480 being too low in Radeon WattMan has been resolved
  • Overwatch may experience an application crash on some Radeon RX 480 configurations when using AMD Crossfire technology mode has been fixed
  • The Division poor Crossfire scaling may be experienced in some low resolution configurations when using AMD Crossfire technology mode has been fixed
  • DOTA2 may experience lower than expected performance when in AMD Crossfire mode has been fixed
  • Radeon Settings may not report the correct Vulkan driver or API version information has been fixed
