Nvidia Introducing GeForce GTX 1060


Nvidia has officially revealed its latest and greatest entry-level graphic card, as well as the latest member joining the GTX family, the GeForce GTX 1060, delivering an affordable GPU that's "loaded with innovative new gaming technologies" and "delivers brilliant performance that opens the door to virtual reality and beyond".

The GeForce GTX 1060, which is based on the Pascal architectures and built with 16nm FinFET Process, features 1280 CUDA cores, 6GB of GDDR5 memory running at 8Gbps, 1506MHz Base Clock and 1708MHz Boost Clock, Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, DL-DVI, Multi Monitor support, HDCP 2.2, and up to 7680x4320 resolution at @60Hz.

The The graphics card comes with Multi-Projection, VR Ready, NVIDIA Ansel, G-SYNC Ready, GameStream Ready, GPU Boost 3.0, Microsoft DirectX 12 API with feature level 12_1, Vulkan API support, OpenGL 4.5, Bus Support PCIe 3.0, a recommended system power of 400W, and is said to be 15% faster and over 75% more power efficient than AMD RX 480.

According to Nvidia "Like the entire Pascal architecture GPU lineup, and with a starting price of only $249, the GTX 1060 has been crafted for speed and optimized for performance per watt. Manufactured on the leading-edge FinFET 16nm process, the GTX 1060 delivers GTX 980-level performance and twice the energy efficiency in VR".

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 will be available this month starting at $249, while the Founder's Edition will go for $299.
