First Pokémon GO Update Released


Following the launch of Pokémon GO around the world earlier last week, The Pokémon Company in collaboration with Niantic has officially revealed the very first update coming to its hugely popular location-based augmented reality mobile game, Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO Update v1.0.1 for iOS, which is said to focus on making Pokémon GO more stable, brings some improvements including:

  • Trainers do not to have to enter their username and password repeatedly after a force log out

  • Added stability to Pokémon Trainer Club account log-in process
  • Resolved issues causing crashes
  • Fixed Google account scope (no loger requests full access permission for the user's Google account)
While Pokémon GO Update v0.29.2 for Android features:
  • Support for Intel x86 processors-based smartphones
  • Android Nougat Preview support
Pokémon GO Update v1.0.1 and Update v0.29.2 are now rolling out as a free update on iOS and Android devices (now live in Germany). Although, Android users can manually update the game by downloading the APK through this link.
