Android N Name & Version Number Officially Confirmed

Following the announcement of Android N about four months ago, Google is back once again with some pretty exciting news and has revealed the official name and version number of its much anticipated and waited mobile operating system, Android 7.0 Nougat.

Android 7.0 Nougat will bring new features as well as other improvements like:
  • Split-screen multi-window mode for both phones and tablets
  • New virtual reality platform called Daydream
  • Seamless updates
  • Support for Vulkan API
  • Redesigned notification shade 
  • Reply to incoming message notifications without leaving the notification shade
  • The Doze battery saving feature now additionally saves battery whenever the screen turns off
  • New set of human emojis
  • Clear All button has been added 
Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to begin rolling out in the third quarter of 2016 starting with Nexus devices.
