The Moto Z and Moto Z Force feature 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 Quad-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of memory, 32/64GB of built-in storage, microSD card (up to 2TB), 5MP front-facing camera with flash, and near-Stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. However, the stadard Z model includes 13MP shooter with OIS and Laser Autofocus, and 2600mAh battery, while the Z Force variant includes 21MP shooter with OIS and Laser Autofocus, and 3500mAh battery.
Both phones come with all-Metal unibody, TurboPower charging, Water repellent nano-coating, USB-C port for headphones, charging and data transfer, fingerprint sensor on the front, Front-ported loud speaker and Moto Mods like Moto Insta-Share Projector, JBL SoundBoost Speaker, Power Pack (up to 22 hours¹ of extra power), Moto Style Shell and much more. However, the stadard Z model comes in 5.19mm thin and weighs 136g, while the Z Force variant comes in 6.99mm thin and weighs 163g, as well as Moto ShatterShield technology.
The Moto Z DROID Edition and Moto Z Force DROID Edition will be available this Summer in North America exclusively through Verizon, while Moto Mods are expected to launch around the same time. Last but not least, an unlocked verion of the Moto Z will be released worldwide starting in September.
