Google Releases Android N Developer Preview 4


Following the release of Android N Developer Preview 3 four weeks ago, the company has officially launched an all-new build of Android N, Android N Developer Preview 4, to developers for download and testing.

Android N Developer Preview 4 is a minor update featuring very few changes such as:

  • The final SDK for Android N, enabeling developers to start compiling their apps in order to test them against the official Android N APIs
  • The easter egg has been chnaged from the Android flappy bird game to NAMEY McNAMEFACE
  • When enabeling Demo Mode in developer settings, the clock turns 7:00 suggesting that Android N will bring 7.0 and not 6.1
  • More apps now support the ability to directly reply to messages from the notification tray like Twitter
  • The calculator quick tile has been removed 
Android N Developer Preview 4 is now available to download on Nexus 5X, 6, 6P, 9, 9G, Nexus Player, Pixel C, General Mobile 4G (Android One), and Xperia Z3 (D6603 and D6653) through the link down below. Although, users registered in the Android Beta Program will get it via OTA updates.
