Sony Releases Android Marshmallow For Xperia Z2/Z3/Z3 Compact

Following the launch of Android Marshmallow on select Xperia devices couple months ago, Sony has announced that Xperia Z2, Z3, and Z3 Compact owners will now begin receiving Android Marshmallow.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Xperia Z2/Z3/Z3 Compact includes:
  • Android Marshmallow goodies like Now On Tap, Doze, and App Permissions
  • Enhanced privacy settings - Manage and control your application data permissions
  • All new camera interface - Switch between modes and customize settings with simple gestures
  • Smart battery life - Do more for longer, with Doze and App Standby
  • Xperia Messaging - Express yourself and get creative with easy in-app access to Stickers
  • Direct Share - Share activity with friends, recent contacts and app lists
Android Marshmallow is now rolling out in India and Canada as a free update to all Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3, and Xperia Z3 Compact users.
