Cyanogen Begins Releasing Gello Browser

Following the announcement of the Gello Browser about one year ago, Cyanogen has officially revealed that its brand new chromium-based browser has now began rolling out to select CyanogenMod 13-based mobile devices.

Gello Browser features:

  • Anything you would expect from a browser
  • Edge navigation - Swipe from the left / right edge of your device and you'll navigate through history
  • Immersive mode
  • Night mode (inverted colors)
  • Colored statusbar (basing on the icon of the website you're visiting)
  • LookLock (prevent all the other apps to see / read the webview content)
  • Powersave mode
  • "Advanced" WebPage sharing (Share page screenshot and link instead of link only)
  • Save webpages for offline reading
  • Much more

Gello Browser is now rolling out to select CM 13-based devices. However, some users may not get it immediately due to the browser being added by the individuals or teams of developers responsible for upkeep on each CyanogenMod device build.
