Apple Launches Safari Technology Preview 5

Following the launch of Safari Technology Preview 4 couple weeks ago, the company has officially released an all-new build of Safari Preview, Safari Technology Preview 5, to developers for download and testing.

Safari Technology Preview 5 brings several new features as well as other enhancements such as:
  • Stopped restarting a resource preload if there is already one pending for the same URL
  • Media controls are now keyboard accessible along with other Shadow DOM elements
  • Updated JavaScript
  • Updated CSS
  • Updated Web APIs
  • Updated Web Inspector
  • Updated Media
  • Updated Security
  • Other bug fixes
Safari Technology Preview 4, which is compatible with OS X 10.11.4 or later, is now available to download through the Safari Dev Center for registered developers.
