Sony Brings Android N To Select Xperia Z Devices

Following the release of Android N Developer Preview 2 one week ago, Sony Mobile in collaboration with Google has officially announced that select Xperia Z owners will now be able to flash and test out Google's latest and sweetest mobile operating system.

To get Android N Developer Preview on your Xperia Z3, model numbers D6603 and D6653, all you have to do is:
  • Connect your compatible Z3 device to a computer with a USB cable
  • Xperia Companion will open automatically
  • Make sure you have Xperia Companion version 1.1.24 or later. If not, download the latest version from here
  • Hold down the "ALT" key on your computer and click on Software repair on the home screen, then follow the guide
  • You’ll be asked to disconnect and turn off your device, then to reconnect whilst holding down the volume down key to start the software flashing
  • Wait for the flashing process to finish
  • Done !!!
Reminder: You can return to factory settings at any time by connecting back to Xperia Companion and following the Software repair

That's it you are now rocking Google's latest and greatest Android OS on your Xperia Z3 smartphone and can start enjoying all the latest features and enhancements such as Multi-window, Bundled notifications, Direct reply notifications, and much more.
