Nvidia Releases New Shield TV Update

Following the launch of Experience Upgrade 3.0 on the Shield Android TV couple months ago, Nvidia has officially released a brand new software update, Experience Upgrade 3.1, to all of the company's Android TV based set-top box owners for download and update.

Experience Upgrade 3.1 for the Nvidia Shield features:
  • Optimizations for New Games
  • Adds mouse navigation using SHIELD controller’s right stick
  • Marshmallow functionality and stability improvements like external USB drive detection, FTP write access, HDMI-CEC, idle/sleep stability, SD card formatting, mouse support, and more
  • Monthly Android security updates, including the March 2016 partner security bulletin
Experience Upgrade 3.1 is now rolling out as a free update to all Nvidia Shield users.
