Google Photos Gains News Features

Following the announcement of Google Killing Picasa in favor of Google Photos couple months ago, Google is back once again with some pretty exciting news and has announced that its photograph and video sharing and storage service has received some new features including Manual Backup.

Google Photos v1.18 brings some new features such as:
  • Manual Backup with the ability to save what you want, when you want 
  • Search your photos by emoji
  • After an event or trip, get suggested albums curated with your best photos
  • Add maps, location pins, and text to albums
  • Revert changes you’ve made to a photo with non-destructive editing
  • Improved burst photo support
Google Photos v1.18 is now rolling out as a free update on Android devices, while iOS is expected to get it later on.
