Apple Updates 12-inch MacBook


Following the announcement of the New MacBook just over one year ago, Apple officially revealed an updated MacBook that offers "the latest Intel processors, improved graphics performance, faster flash storage and an additional hour of battery life".

The new MacBook features 12-inch Retina (2304 x 1440) IPS display, up to 6th-Gen Dual-core Intel Core M processors @ 1.3GHz (with Turbo Boost @3.1GHz), Intel HD Graphics 515, 8GB of 1866MHz LPDDR3 RAM, up to 512GB PCIe-based SSD, 480p FaceTime camera, up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing, and OS X El Capitan.

The notebook comes in 13.1mm thin and weighs just 2 pounds, with all-metal unibody enclosure, fanless design, Force Touch trackpad, full-size keyboard, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, AirPlay and AirDrop support, USB-C port , Stereo speakers, as well as Space Gray, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.

According to Apple "MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook," The company continued "Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish".

The New MacBook will be available to purchase starting today through Apple's online store starting at $1299 for the base model, while the higher-end one will go for $1599. Last but not least, the company's retail stores and select Authorized Resellers will get it starting April 20.
