Windows 10 Anniversary Update Officially Announced
Following the launch of Windows 10 to the public eight months ago, Microsoft has officially announced the latest update coming to its operating system, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, delivering some new features as well as enhancements to Windows 10-based devices, including computers and Xbox consoles.
Windows 10 Anniversary Update will be featuring:
- Windows Hello Brings Biometric Security to Apps and Microsoft Edge
- Windows Ink enables you to write on your device as you do on paper, including creating sticky notes and drawing on a whiteboard
- Cortana will now be more proactively, making suggestions for you through-out your day, like offering to buy you lunch or arrange transportation
- Universal Windows Platform apps and Cortana will be coming to Xbox One
- Support for multiple GPUs and the ability to turn off v-sync
- The ability to turn any Xbox One to a developer kit with Xbox Dev Mode
According to Microsoft "For over thirty years, Windows has been an open ecosystem, welcoming the contributions of hardware and software partners and developers around the world" The company continued "Our goal is for Windows to be the best platform for ALL developers – making Windows their home and getting the best return on their investment in their code".
Windows 10 Anniversary Update will be available this Summer for free to all Windows 10 customers.
