Sony Begins Releasing Android Marshmallow

Following the announcement of the first Xperia devices to get Google's latest and sweetest Android OS five months ago, Sony has officially began rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to select Xperia devices, including Xperia Z5, Xperia Z3+, and Z4 Tablet.

Android Marshmallow for Xperia Z devices bring some new features as well as other enhancements such as:

• Now On Tap

• Improved App Permissions

• Doze battery enhancement

• The option to choose how long you want the phone to stay in vibrate mode

• The SmallApps bar will now hides itself when scrolling through recent apps

• New camera app interface

• New way to add contacts and filtering support has been added to the dialer 

• New stickers in AR fun

• The latest February 2016 security patches from Google

Android Marshmallow is now rolling out as a free update to the glabal variant of the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z3+, and Z4 Tablet.
