Sony Announces New PS4 Beta Update


Following the launch of System Software Update 3.15 earlier this year on current-gen PlayStation consoles, Sony Computer Entertainment has officially announced the latest update coming to its home video game console, System Software 3.50 Beta, delivering some new features as well as other enhancements.

PS4 System Software 3.50 Beta, also known as MUSASHI Update, includes:

  • New option that notifies you when members of your friends list sign on the network
  • New option to appear offline with the ability to choose between when you log-in or at any time from your Profile or the Quick Menu
  • The ability to schedule a future gameplay session with your friends 
  • All members of a Party will now be able to see what each person is playing so that they can easily join a friend’s game, or start a new game together
  • PS4 Remote Play will be coming to Windows PC and Mac (not available in the beta but coming soon)
  • The ability to live stream directly to Dailymotion on PS4
  • Archiving live broadcasts Support 
PS4 System Software Update 3.50 Beta will begin rolling out March 2nd to those registered to the company's Beta Program.
