With Project Fi going invite-free, users all over the US will get the chance to:
- Automatically connects to the best network between Wi-Fi and LTE networks (including Sprint and T-Mobile)
- Start a call over Wi-Fi and walk outside, Project Fi detects when your signal becomes weak and seamlessly moves your call over to a cell network
- The ability to get your unused data credited in dollars and cents, so you only pay for what you use
- Choose between two different plans, Fi Basics ($20 per month) with unlimited domestic talk and text, unlimited international texts, and the ability to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot or $10 per 1GB for data with no annual contract required
Reminder: Project Fi only works with the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, and Nexus 6P for now, with more devices to be supported later on.
Last but not least, Google is offering the Nexus 5X starting at $199 for the next month when you buy and activate through Project Fi. Project Fi is now available across North America for anyone to sign up for the service without having to wait in-line for an invite.
