Battleborn Open Beta Announced

Following the announcement of Battleborn Post-Launch Content earlier last week, Gearbox Software in collaboration with 2K Games has officially revealed the latest update coming to its first-person shooter video game, including the release date of Battleborn Open Beta.

Battleborn Open Beta will be featuring:
  • 25 playable heroes each with wildly different personalities, powers, and play styles
  • Two full Story Mode episodes including The Algorithm and Void’s Edge
  • Two Competitive Multiplayer modes including Incursion and Meltdown
  • Three different progression systems including Helix, Character Rank, and Command Rank
  • The ability to play Split-Screen, communicate with your teammates via in-game Voice Chat, and create private custom matches
The studio has also announced that PlayStation players who participate in the beta will receive the Battleborn DLC Pack 1 and instant access to Alani when the game officially launches in May. In addition, PS4 players will have access to the Battleborn hero, Toby, during the Open Beta.

Battleborn Open Beta will be available April 8 at 10am PST first on PS4 worldwide, while Xbox One and PC will get it April 13 at 10am PST. Last but not least, the beta is scheduled to end April 18 at 7am PST.
