Acer Chromebook 14 With Metal Build Officially Announced

Acer has officially revealed its latest and greatest Chrome-based laptops, as well as the latest member joining its Chromebook family, the Chromebook 14 (CB3-431), delivering the company's first Chromebook with an all-aluminum chassis.

The Acer Chromebook 14 features 14-inch 1080p or (1366x768) IPS display. Intel Celeron quad-core or dual-core N3060 processor, 2/4GB RAM, 16/32GB of storage, 720p webcam with HD audio and video recording, up to 12/14 hours of battery life (FHD/HD), two USB 3.1 ports, HDMI port, dual-band 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Chrome OS.

The laptop comes in 17mm thin and weighs 1.55kg, with aluminum chassis and hairline-brush finish, fan-less design, 100GB of free storage on Google Drive (for a limited time), dual stereo speakers and an integrated digital microphone, as well as ComfyView low-reflection and anti-glare properties display.

The Acer Chromebook 14 high-end model is now available to pre-order for $299.99 through Amazon, while BestBuy is expected to get it sometime in April.
