Samsung Releases New Gear S2 Firmware Update

Following the release of Tizen OS build number R730TUVU1AOL3 about six weeks ago, Samsung has officially launched an all-new build of Tizen OS, build number R720XXU2BPA4, for its round Gear S2 smartwatch, offering wearers of the smartwatch some new apps, watch faces, and much more.

The new Gear S2 Firmware Update includes:

• New applications has been added including World Clock, ESPN, News Briefing 

• New watch faces has been added including Mendini watch faces

• Search function in the Contacts application has been added 

• New Screen time out feature, which can be accessed by going to Settings > Display > Screen timeout, has been added

• The ability to show an unread notification indicator on the watch face 

• The ability to show Alert once Bluetooth connection is disconnected

• Enter emojis directly using the keyboard

The new Tizen OS Firmware Update, which takes up 91.12MB of space, is now rolling out to all Gear S2 wearers as a free update.
