Oculus Announces VR Ready PCs Pre-orders


Following the announcement of Oculus Rift Pricing & Shipping Date one month ago, Oculus has officially announced the latest update coming to its virtual reality head-mounted display, including the availability of the first certified Oculus Ready PCs from ASUS, Alienware, and Dell.

The first Oculus Ready PCs include:

  • ASUS G11CD with Intel i5-6400, NVIDIA 970, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD 
  • ASUS ROG G2OCB with Intel i5-6400, NVIDIA 970, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD 
  • ASUS ROG G2OCB with Intel i7-6700, NVIDIA 980, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD
  • Alienware Area 51 with Intel i7-5820K, NVIDIA 980, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB SSD + 2TB HDD
  • Alienware X51 R3 with Intel i5-6400, NVIDIA 970, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD
  • Alienware X51 R3 with Intel i5-6400, NVIDIA 980, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD
  • Dell XPS 8900 SE with : Intel i5-6400, NVIDIA 970, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD
Reminder: All bundles include an Oculus-certified PC and everything that comes with Rift such as the headset, sensor, remote, an Xbox One controller, EVE: Valkyrie Founder’s Pack, and Lucky’s Tale!

The first Oculus Ready PCs will be available to pre-order February 16 at 8am Pacific Time starting at $1499 for a limited time only through Best Buy, Amazon, and the Microsoft Store, while the PCs and Rift bundles will begin shipping in April.
