Meizu To Introduce New Ubuntu Phone

With the Mobile World Congress 2016 event just one week away, Meizu in collaboration with Canonical has officially announced that the company is working on yet another smartphone running the latest Ubuntu OS.

Following the announcement of the Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition nine months ago, Meizu will be introducing its second Ubuntu-based smartphone. Although, no official detail has been released on Meizu's upcoming Ubuntu handset, the phone will reportedly be called the Meizu Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition and will feature a larger display and a more powerful Exynos processor compared to the MX4 Ubuntu Edition, as well as a Home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor.

Meizu will reveal its new Ubuntu phone at the MWC 2016 event next week.
