Google Introducing Gmailify

Following giving other email providers access to the Gmail application one year ago, Google has officially announced the latest update coming to its Gmail app, Gmailify, offering non-Gmail users some of Gmail’s most powerful features without the ever changing their email address.

With Gmailify, users will be able to link their existing account to Gmail and get access to:

  • Spam protection
  • Inbox organization
  • Google Now cards based on their mail
To enable Gmailify, all you have to do is:
  • Open the Gmail app on your Android phone or tablet
  • In the top-left, touch the Menu button
  • Scroll down and tap Settings
  • Tap the non-Gmail account you’d like to link
  • Tap Link account
  • Done !!
Remonder: You can disable the Gmailify feature and unlink your account(s) at any time, and continue to access them through the Gmail app.

the Gmailify feature is now rolling out on the Gmail app for Android devices and  only supports Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail/Outlook for now, with more email providers to be added later on.
