Cat Introducing S60 With Integrated Thermal Camera


Cat, the phone maker that specialises in rugged phones, has officially announced its latest and greatest product, as well as the latest member joining its S family, the S60, delivering "the world’s first fully integrated thermal imaging smartphone".

The S60 features 4.7-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 610 Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP shooter and 5MP front-facing camera, integrated thermal camera, waterproof (up to 5m for one hour), 3800mAh battery, 4G connectivity, and Android Marshmallow.

The phone comes with Gorilla Glass 4, Strengthened Die Cast Frame, dustproof and drop proof (up to to 1.8m), wet finger & glove support, "High quality" audio experience (over 105dB), Dedicated FLIR thermal camera app with MSX technology,

According to Caterpillar "The Cat S60 represents a milestone for smartphones. We are excited for thermal technology to be in the hands of Cat phones customers and to discover the myriad of daily time and efficiency use cases it will present for them".

The Cat S60 will be revealed next week at the MWC 2016 event, while the phone is scheduled to being rolling out later this year for $599/€649.
