Apple Seeds New Apple TV 3 Firmware Update

Following the release of tvOS 9.2 Beta 4 for Apple TV 4 just few days ago, Apple has officially launched a new software update for the third generation Apple TV, Firmware Update 7.2.1, to the public for download and update.

The Firmware Update 7.2.1 for the Apple TV 3 includes:
  • Several security fixes
  • General performance and stability improvements
  • Under-the-hood enhancements
Firmware Update 7.2.1 is now rolling out to all 3rd-Gen Apple TV owners as a free update through Software Update.
