Street Fighter V Story Trailer & Beta Announced
Following the announcement of the Street Fighter V: Battle Costumes five weeks ago, Capcom is back once again with some pretty exciting news, and has released some brand new footage of its upcoming and much anticipated fighting video game, showing off the single player story behind Street Fighter V.
The studio has announced that Street Fighter V will be featuring two key components for the story experience, including:
- Character Stories, where each character has their own storyline that provides background information on what drives them to fight, and what their relationships are to the other characters
- Cinematic Story Expansion, which takes players deep into the Street Fighter action and mythology through beautifully rendered cutscenes
Last but not least, the final Street Fighter V Beta is scheduled to open January 30 at 12:01 AM PT (8:01 AM GMT), and ends January 31 at 7 PM PT (February 1 at 3 AM GMT). The Story Expansion, which is said to take place between the events of Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III, and fully explains everything that transpired in that electrifying time period, will be released as a free update sometime in June.
