Apple Releases Music Memos

Apple has officially announced its latest and greatest software application, as well as the latest member joining its music-making apps family, Music Memos, delivering a brand new app for creators that "transform iOS devices into handheld studios for songwriters & beatmakers"

Music Memos enables creators and music lovers to:

• Quickly capture, organize and develop their musical ideas right on their iPhone

• Record any musical instrument through the iPhone’s built-in microphone in a high-quality, uncompressed format

• Automatically analyze your rhythm and add drums and a bass line to your song for a more virtual, customizable backing band 

• Get basic notation that displays the chords that were played

• Sync their music across multiple devices thanks to iCloud

• Share their ideas through email or with their fans via Apple Music Connect

According to Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing "Musicians around the world, from the biggest artists to aspiring students, use Apple devices to create amazing music; the innovative new Music Memos app will help them quickly capture their ideas on iPhone and iPad whenever inspiration strikes".

Music Memos is now available for free on iPhone 4s and later, as well as iPad 2 or newer.
