Microsoft Releases New Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build

Following the release of Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10586 over couple weeks ago, Microsoft has officially launched an all-new build of Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10586.29, to Windows Insiders for download and testing.

Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10586.29 features some bug fixes as well as under-the-hood improvements such as:
  • You will see additional improvements in upgrade experience, including devices with limited free space, map rendering on update, and RCS enabled device settings
  • Improved application backwards compatibility for Windows Phone 8.1 Silverlight applications
  • Edge performance and stability has been improved. Auto-completion has been updated to allow user to more easily edit the end of the URL in the address bar
  • Additional Bluetooth stability improvements.
  • An issues with switching the active cellular connectivity profile on Dual SIM devices has been resolved
  • Data profiles are now correctly restored in the out of box experience that would prevent some devices from sending or receiving MMS messages
The company has also announced that starting this week, some new Windows-based devices will be added to its Windows Insiders program, including :
  • LG Lancet
  • Microsoft Lumia 550
  • Microsoft Lumia 950
  • Microsoft Lumia 950 XL
Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10586.29 is now available through Windows Update, as part of the company's Fast Ring build program.
