HTC Launches December Security Update For One E9/+

Following the release of Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 on Nexus devices earlier this month, HTC has officially began rolling out Google's latest monthly security patches, for its One E lineup, including the One E9 as well as the One E9+.

HTC has released a new software update (not Android 6.0.1) for the One E9, build number 1.50.709.3, as well as the One E9+, build number 1.45.709.5, featuring:
  • December Security Update
  • Touch screen performance improvements
  • Under-the-hood enhancements
  • Bug fixes
The new Software Update, which takes about 358MB of space, is now rolling out to the HTC One E9 and One E9+ as a free update in Taiwan, while other regions are expected to get it soon.
