HTC Launches Android 6.0.1 On One A9

Following the announcement of the One A9, the company's "stunning, no-compromise smartphone", as well as the release of Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, HTC has kept its promise of delivering fast updates by launching Google's latest and greatest Android OS on the One A9.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for the One A9 brings new features as well as other enhancements, including:

  • The ability to choose between AMOLED and sRGB colors in "Display" settings
  • The ability to hide navigation bar in "Personalize" settings (can be re-activated by swiping up from the bottom of the display)
  • An option to require a pattern lock to start the device on "Screen Lock" settings
  • Other battery and camera improvements
  • New "Until Next Alarm" option has been added to the "Do Not Disturb" mode (has been disabled for some reason, but can be re-enabled by rolling the date back before Christmas)
  • New emojis support (not available on Stock HTC Keyboard)
  • December security patch
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is now rolling out to all HTC One A9 owners as a free update.
