Google Releases Android Marshmallow 6.0.1

Following the launch of Android Marshmallow 6.0 couple months ago, Google has officially released a brand new build of its latest and greatest Android OS, Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, to the public for download and update.

Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, build number MMB29M/K, includes:

  • New emojis support (around 200)
  • the navigation buttons have been moved, with the Back and Home buttonsare now located on left edge of the screen, while the Recent button is now located on right (only on tablets)
  • New "Until Next Alarm" option has been added to the "Do Not Disturb" mode
  • Band 12 LTE support has been enabled for Nexus 5X and 6P
  • The ability to launch the camera by double tapping the power button
  • December security patch
Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 is now rolling out on Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9, and Nexus Player via OTA. Although, those who can't wait for the update to reach their devices, can manually download the Factory Images through the link down below.
