Nvidia Launches SHIELD Tablet K1

Following the reveal of the Nvidia Shield Tablet over one year ago, Nvidia has officially announced that it's bringing back the "ultimate tablet for gamers" as the SHIELD Tablet K1, in response to "Popular Demand" from its customers.

The SHIELD Tablet K1 shares the same design elements and some of the specs as the original SHIELD Tablet, including an 8-inch Full HD (1920x1200) display, NVIDIA Tegra K1 clocked at 2.2 GHz, 192 core Kepler GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage, MicroSD Card (up to up to 128GB), 5MP shooter and 5MP front-facing camera, 19.75 Watt Hours battery, and Android Lollipop (upgradable to Android Marshmallow in the coming months).

The tablet comes in 9.2mm thin and weghs 390g, with 4K Ultra-HD Ready, Front facing stereo speakers, Mini-HDMI 1.4a output, Micro-USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n 2×2 Mimo (with support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz ), GeForce NOW cloud gaming (free 3 months trial), NVIDIA ShadowPlay and SHIELD controller compatible.

The Nvidia SHIELD Tablet K1 is now available for $199.99 through the company's online store, Amazon, Newegg, and BestBuy's online store.
