LG Introducing Ray

LG has officially revealed its latest and greatest mid-range product, as well as the latest member joining the mid-tier family, the Ray, delivering a new phablet with "enhanced multimedia and superb visual experience packed into a slim and simple metallic design".

The Ray features 5.5-inch 720p display, Octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz (most likely a MediaTek SoC), 1GB EAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card, 13MP shooter and 8MP front-facing camera, 3000mAh removable battery, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The phablet comes in 9.3mm thin and weighs 158g, with metallic design (most likely plastic fashioned to look like aluminum), Dual-SIM support, limited to HSPA+ connectivity, as well as Silver, Titan Black, and Gold color options.

According to LG "Customers in 3G markets continue to be a priority for LG so we will continue to develop new products with these consumers in mind," the company continued "No matter the country or the device, every LG customers will receive a unique user experience with a balance of design, performance and value".

The LG Ray will be available starting this week in CIS region, while Latin America will get it later on. Unfortunately, there is no word yet on pricing.
