Windows 10 Fall Update, which is the first major update to Windows 10, is said to feature:
- Threshold 2, version version 1511, will be released as a cumulative update
- No prerequisite is required with the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Update directly from the RTM version
- No Windows reactivation will be required after updating
- Windows 10 Fall Update through Windows Update and will be called Windows 10 November 2015
- improved Media Creation Tool, new locales and other new features for Cortana, and various Edge improvements (Still no add-ons just yet)
- Windows 10 Fall Update will support activation with your current Windows 7/8/8.1 product key
- The Push Button Reset feature will be updated to only reset your PC to the Windows 10 Fall Update
- Users who upgraded from Windows 8.1 will lose PC maker customizations
