Sony Announces PS4 Price Cut


Sony is getting into the holiday spirit by announcing the latest update coming to its latest and greatest console, the PlayStation 4, including a price drop of all current-gen PlayStation consoles in both North America and Canada.

Sony has announced that starting October 9, all PS4 consoles will be sold for $349.99 USD/$429.99 CAD, which is $50 USD down from the original $399.99. The studio has also announced that a number of bundles introduced over the past few months will be getting a price cut as well including:

  • UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 Bundle - $349.99 USD / $429.99 CAD (10/9)
  • Limited Edition Call of Duty: Black Ops III 1TB PS4 Bundle - $429.99 USD / $499.99 CAD (11/6)
  • Limited Edition Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars PS4 Bundle - $399.99 USD / $469.99 CAD (11/13)
  • Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle - $399.99 USD / $469.99 CAD (11/17)
  • Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle - $349.99 USD / $429.99 CAD (11/17)
  • NHL 16 PS4 Bundle - $429.99 CAD (Available now, Canada only)
According to John Koller, VP of Platforms Marketing "Our goal at PlayStation has always been to provide the best gameplay experiences at the best value, and we feel this new compelling price will open the doors to even more gamers that have yet to purchase a system".


The PS4 will be available for $349.99 starting tomorrow.
