Pepsi To Launch A Smartphone

PepsiCo Inc, the American multinational food, snack and beverage corporation, in collaboration with a licensing partner, yet to be announced, has officially announced that the company is working on delivering an all-new line of mobile phones and accessories.

The first branded "Pepsi" smartphone is said to be called Pepsi P1, and will reportedly be featuring 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek MT6592 Octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP shooter and 5MP front-facing camera, 3000mAh battery, Dual-SIM support, all-metal body, fingerprint sensor on the back, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

According to a PepsiCo spokeswoman "Available in China only, this effort is similar to recent globally licensed Pepsi products which include apparel and accessories,"

The Pepsi P1 is expected to be launched as soon as October 20 exclusively in China, while the phone is said to be priced at 1299 Yuan (about $205).
