Microsoft Reveals Surface Book

Microsoft has officially revealed its first ever laptop, as well as the latest member joining the Surface family, the Surface Book, delivering an all-new detachable laptop that promises to offer "full punch of a high performance laptop with unprecedented versatility of a tablet".

The Surface Book features 13.5-inch (3000 x 2000) PixelSense display, 6th Gen Intel Core i5/i7, Intel HD graphics 520/NVIDIA GeForce, 8/16GB RAM, 128/256/512GB or 1TB SSD, Full-size SD card, 8MP shooter and 5MP front-facing camera, Up to 12 hours of battery life, Front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby audio, and Windows 10 Pro.

The laptop comes in 13- 22.8mm thin and weighs 1,516 g, with backlit keyboard, Two full-size USB 3.0, TPM chip for enterprise security, SurfaceConnect, Mini DisplayPort, Headset jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Surface Pen, Dynamic Fulcrum hinge, Detachable Keyboard, 30-day trial of Office, as well as Silver color option.

According to Microsoft "Building on its track record of pioneering new categories, Microsoft is redefining the laptop with the new Surface Book — a powerful, high-performance laptop with stunning craftsmanship and incredibly accurate and responsive pen and touch support".

The Surface Book is now available to pre-order starting at $1499, while the laptop will begin shipping starting October 26.
