Microsoft Releases New Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build

Following the launch of Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10549 about a week ago, Microsoft has officially released a brand new build of Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10572, to Windows Insiders for download and testing.

Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10572 features:
  • Get missed call notifications and send texts on your PC with Cortana (requires Windows 10 Build 10565 and signed into Cortana with the same Microsoft Account on both devices)
  • Messaging app now supports animated GIFs and the ability to search your messages, while the Phone app can now search for contacts from Call History
  • Cortana can now book an Uber and take an Uber to the airport
  • The ability to save offline maps to a SD card
  • Photo app improvements including marking local photos as favorites and have them shuffle on the Live Tile
  • Storage settings improvements with the ability to install apps to an SD card or USB drive
Reminder: Similar to Build 10549, users must go back to Windows Phone 8.1 in order to upgrade to this new build. Although, future releases will not require this process.

Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10572 is now available through Windows Update, as part of the company's Fast Ring builds program.
