iOS 9 Untethered Jailbreak Officially Released

Following the launch of iOS 9.0.2 about couple weeks ago, the Pangu Team, which has previously created the iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak as well as iOS 8.1 Jailbreak, has officially released a brand new Untethered Jailbreak tool, called Pangu9, that supports iDevices running from iOS 9.0 all the way to iOS 9.0.2.

To Jailbreak iOS 9.0-9.0.2, all you have to do is:

  • Always back up your data
  • Disable Touch ID, pass code, and find my iPhone
  • Turn on Airplane Mode
  • Connect your iDevice and run the jailbreak tool
  • Uncheck the PP checkbox and hit the Start button
  • Hit the "Already Did" button (the one on the right if you get the Chinese version)
  • The jailbreak process will now begin
  • Once the Jailbreak tool hits the 65%, unlock your device and re-enable Airplane Mode
  • Once the Jailbreak tool hits the 75%, unlock your device and run the Pangu app and tap "Accept"
  • Once the the process is over, turn off Airplane Mode and then open Cydia
  • Done !!
Reminder: If you have updated your iOS device via Software Update and failed to Jailbreak, it is recommended to restore via iTunes after backing up you data.

That's it, you are now running the Untethered Jailbreak on your iOS 9.0 or later iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad and can enjoy even more customizations and tweaks. Unfortunately, this Jailbreak is only compatible with Windows for now. Although, Mac users can also take advantage of it by running Windows through a virtual machine.
