Apple Launches iOS 9.1

Following the launch of iOS 9.0.2 three weeks ago, the company has officially released a brand new build of iOS 9, iOS 9.1 build number 13B143, that bring some new features as well as a bunch of bug fixes, to the public for download and update.

iOS 9.1 features:

  • Over 150 new emoji characters with full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis
  • Live Photos now intelligently senses when you raise or lower your iPhone to automatically not record unwanted movements
  • Brings Apple News to UK and Australia
  • New Messages option that allow users to disable photos for contacts
  • Other bug fixes
Reminder: iOS 9.1 does block the Pangu Jailbreak, so if you want to keep your Jailbreak alive, it is recommended to stay away from this update.

iOS 9.1 is now rolling out as a free update through Software Update or via iTunes for all supported iOS devices, including iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices.
