While the Xperia Z5 Premium features 5.5-inch 4K (3840x2160) Triluminos display, Snapdragon 810 64-bit Octa-core processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card (up to 200GB), 23MP shooter with 5x Clear Image Zoom and 5MP front-facing camera, 3430 mAh battery, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Both phones support metal frame and frosted glass back Waterproof and dust tight (IP65 and IP68), 4G connectibity with Cat 6 support, fingerprint sensor on the side, High-Res Audio, PS4 Remote Play support, Single SIM and Dual SIM options. However, the Xperia Z5 comes in 7.3mm thin and Graphite Black, White, Gold and Green color options, while the Xperia Z5 Premium comes in 7.8mm thin and Chrome, Black, and Gold color options.
According to Hiroki Totoki, President and CEO at Sony Mobile Communications "Since users already create, share and enjoy most of their content on the go – we’ve set out to bring Sony’s latest innovations in camera, design and display to ensure the Xperia Z5 series is the best possible lifestyle and entertainment platform".
The Xperia Z5 will begin rolling out worldwide starting October, while the Xperia Z5 Premium will be released starting November. Unfortunately, there is no word yet on pricing.
